Cora welcome wellbeing campaign to Stoche Acre

The Cora team are proud to play their part in the Lighthouse Charity’s ongoing welfare and wellbeing campaign, Make it Visible.

Representatives from the charity, which supports construction workers and their families with their physical health, mental health and finances, visited our Stoche Acre development in March as part of its nationwide tour.

Launched in January 2023, Make it Visible aims to raise awareness of the welfare and wellbeing needs of construction workers and the support available to them to inspire long term cultural change.

Steve Keenan, our Construction Director, said it was “great” to welcome the team to Stoche Acre.

He said: “Worker wellbeing is something we are incredibly passionate about at Cora and our close-knit team is always looking out for one another, whether that’s on site or in the office.

“Both Justin and Dale from the Lighthouse Charity spoke passionately to our team about the free support available to them. It was really insightful.

“We are all fully behind their message to promote a more proactive approach to wellbeing and ensuring all workers feel supported and respected.”

Services provided by the Lighthouse Charity include a free and confidential industry helpline staffed 24/7. It also operates the text-based HARDHAT service which offers information, guidance and support on a wide range of wellbeing issues.

It is because of those services that we were proud to name them our Charity of the Year in 2023, raising thousands of pounds to help fund its vital work.

Working with the Lighthouse Charity – alongside our own internal policies – has had a profound effect on employee wellbeing, with 97% of our staff saying Cora is a great place to work in an Investors in People assessment.
