Customer care colleagues praise Cora’s devotion to service

Cora’s devotion to providing the highest quality service is what makes us stand out as a housebuilder, say customer care colleagues Becky and Johanne.

Familiar faces to new home owners, Becky Powell and Johanne Osborne lead our customer care team and ensure we are always on hand to help.

All Cora customers are given a courtesy call from either Becky or Johanne after completing on their new home – and have access to their support for two years.

Becky first joined the business in 2013 and has seen firsthand how our offering has continued to develop.

She said: “Working in customer care is great as you build real relationships with customers. It is so nice to play your part in them starting their new lives in their dream home – particularly with families.

“I even have some customers ask about how my children are getting on. It is just so lovely.

“At Cora we are devoted to creating amazing places and building communities, not soulless housing developments. And that community feel starts with how we interact with our customers.”

Both Becky and Johanne regularly find their names highlighted in customer reviews on websites such as Trustpilot – heaping praise on the pair for going above and beyond.

Johanne added: “Our job is to help people with whatever issue they may have and ensure it is resolved as quickly as possible. Always keeping lines of communication open is a big part of that.

“It is such a lovely feeling seeing our names mentioned in Trustpilot reviews. It reminds you how much of an impact your work has and how much of a difference we make.”

With today marking International Women’s Day, the pair have also shared their vision for a housebuilding industry with a more diverse workforce – something we are fully behind here at Cora, where over a third of our workforce are women.

Becky said: “I’d love to see more women in the industry – especially out on site. It would be great to see some female apprentices joining the trades, as well as taking on apprenticeships in the office.

“I’ve always been made to feel equal with any other person in the business. Cora doesn’t judge you on your gender – it judges you on who you are as a person and that’s a big reason why we have such a successful team here.”

Johanne added: “It would be great to see more women join the industry. A lot has changed over the years and there are more and more young women taking on new roles.

“We have such a lovely environment to work in, where everyone is supportive of one another.

“Cora really is the best employer I have ever worked for.”
